Luxury Sculptural Mirrors
Jose, co-founder and senior designer of Alguacil & Perkoff Mirrors, draws inspiration for his special editions from his travels and the extraordinary landscapes he encounters.
During a journey to Uzbekistan, he visited the remnants of the Aral Sea, once one of the world's largest inland lakes. The striking scenery left behind by its gradual disappearance revealed an extraordinary landscape, now known as the Aralkum Desert, where vast salt-covered expanses, sculptural formations and dramatic miniature canyons create an almost otherworldly environment.
The remarkable textures, natural contours and sculptural beauty of this transformed landscape became a source of inspiration for his creative work.
